Fight On!!!

With only 2 weeks left until the USC Trojans football season kicks off we've been practicing our So Cal Spellouts (Lauren just spits out any combo of letters and numbers), listening to the best band in the universe!!, and teaching Lauren the fine art of doing "Fight On" fingers and chanting "U-C-L-A Stinks!" although I do it the more grown up way which I won't post here. We had to take a trip to the school to really get warmed up today and to grab our gear for the season!!

We were so excited and the place was packed! We ate lunch in one of the cafeterias where the students hang out! We ran to the bookstore and they have so much more stuff this year, it's crazy! I got a cool USC hoodie and wanted to wear it immediately despite how hot it was out. I put the hood up and wore my shades and I looked cool! Mom said "Unibomber" or "You da bomb!" Lauren got a cheerleader outfit that she wouldn't take off all day and even wanted to sleep in! You can see us here with Tommy! Yah, I'm on a first-name basis with Tommy Trojan.

I love going to USC because when someone calls me by my name everyone turns around and goes "Cool! Carson Palmer!" If you don't know who that was, we'll save that for another time.

We went home and our training turned to giving the fingers (foam fingers) and pom pon shaking. Lauren is terrified of the pom pons right now, but likes the power of the fingers!

I can't wait! We're hopefully going to 2 games this year! I can't wait to tailgate with my family and all my new Uncles from Anna and Randy's wedding! They're my boys! Lauren can't wait to yell and cheer for our team! Sissy is a great yeller if you don't already know that. This is a picture from last season! Picture 92,000 yelling fans and she can still reach high pitched screams that can be heard over the crowd!

F i g h t o n ! !

Oh, and since he's part of our family too but doesn't get mentioned nearly enough, I thought I'd show you a picture of our cat. This is Blinky who won't look that relaxed after tomorrow because our cousin Aspen (a yellow lab) is coming to spend the night! Puppy Slobber Slumber Party!

One last thing... to that Longhorns fan I exchanged words with in the Target Parking Lot today, it's kinda sad when you're 4x my age, 2x my size that you have to wait until you jump into your car and shut your door before you start flashing me Longhorns hand signals and show me your ugly brown Longhorn cap. Watch out, Tommy Trojan's sword doubles as a branding iron!
