Day by Day with Carson and Lauren

Since our friends and family are so spread out, this is our attempt to stay in touch a little more often! We hope to see you in person really soon!

First let me show you what was in our yard the other day! There are two here, a boy and a girl! See if you can find the girl, she has good camouflage. Thank goodness our cat Binky didn't get them first!

So this weekend we have been packing to move! Sissy was doing more unpacking than packing and playing dress up with what she found!

Then she was labeling boxes for Mommy, I sure hope none of my toys are in that box because I don't think the movers will know where to put them.

Our great friends, and my godparents, Auntie Sharon and Uncle Phil and Will (who gave us the idea to do a blog since his is so cool: http://williamakirashin.blogspot.com) came and helped us really get cracking on the packing! You can see we had fun too! They also brought lots of yummy food with them! THANK YOU!!!

They packed at such a hurried pace that they didn't notice that two boxes were moving and making noise. Whew, that was close!

Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't all work!

We had fun too!

In the pool...

Relaxing at the beach...

And even going to a fair at the Rose Bowl (where the other team plays).

We saw and fed animals such as a baby Llama, goats, and a big tortoise...

And I played games! I was knocking down Bruins in my mind!

Feeling brave, I caught air on a super tall slide (my mom didn't ride, she said she's a chicken)...

For those of you who didn't know, I'm famous now but only in San Diego. Sissy and I were in their paper this weekend thanks to Nani! http://www.signonsandiego.com/uniontrib/20060528/news_lz1j28snaps.html

Special thank you to all the soldiers (and their families) who are brave and fight to keep our country safe!

Sissy's New Haircut

This is Sissy's new haircut. Mom says it reminds her of Amelie but I have no idea who that is or what her movie was.

More pix coming up tonight, we have some catching up to do!

Ay Matey!

This past Saturday Carson and Lauren took a voyage to the high seas where they helped Princess Anita escape from Sebastian the Black (led by our head pirate of the yellow team: Antonio the swordsman). Coincidentally, it was our Aunt Anita who came up with the idea of the whole adventure! We had Pirate Grub, drank Pirate Beer (at least the grown ups did, I had Pirate Sprite), and had to take the Pirate Oath. Some kids got to shoot real guns to help take over the ship from Sebastian. Thanks Auntie Anita, Uncle Paul, Grandma and the whole family for such a swashbuckling afternoon!

This is Uncle Co-ey (as Sissy calls him), Lauren, Auntie Annelise, Me, Cousin Kathleen, and Grandma! At this point we still had no idea what we were in for!!

This is me looking for some Grog. I had to jump up on the bar to get service!

Before the show some crazy pirates showed up and mingled with the guests, I don't know if they were real or not, but Sissy is very handy with a sword so I felt comfortable that we could protect the rest of the family.

We're seated and ready for the Pirate Grub, hey wait, nobody told me Pirates ate salad! Yuk!

Sissy was very excited for the show and loved acting like a Pirate. Here she perfects saying "Aargh!"

Later on we were all recruited to be Pirates to help overthrow Sebastian the Black so I had to take the Pirate Oath. They included something about eating all my veggies, but I ignored that.

Mom tried to get us a photo with Italian Antonio the Swordsman but I think he snuck off because really, he stunk. He lost all of our competitions for us. So we went with the red pirate. He had a big cut on his cheek that made him look brave and fierce.

Feliz Cinco de Mayo

Here's Lauren in her adorable dress (her third outfit for the day, if you look closely you can probably still see mud in her hair) and her Jelly Shoes that she loves! We were outside for most of the day because parts of the house were being painted. Mommy says at one point Lauren had mud up to her knees. She wouldn't take a picture without her "paci" and her "buddy" - she also has another blanket she calls "stinky buddy."

We went and ate a Mexican food feast and stuffed and stuffed until we had enough!

Welcome to our Blog!

Welcome friends and family to our Blog! We are growing up so fast and we don't get to see all of you regularly enough with everyone being so spread out! This way we can try to post pictures of what happens on a day to day basis along with special events such as any visitors we will have, milestones we will achieve, and our rapid growth!

Here are some pictures from mom's semi-annual experiment with a black and white disposable camera. We humor her, but we'll admit it, we love to ham it up!

Here's a picture of us and our cat Binky. His formal name is Blink and he was named for Tom Delonge of Blink-182 because he's a Tom Cat. Follow that? In any case, he's now scared to live in our house with us now that Sissy (that's our nickname for Lauren) walks around so much and so he spends most of his time outside these days. We happened to catch him for a few minutes.

Here's Carson trying to look scary and mad but a smile still shines through!

Did we mention how hot it was? And it's not even summer yet in Valencia!

Well that's our first blog entry! We'll try to take a crash course from our best friend Will who is an old pro at this at his ripe old age of almost 2! Take care everyone!
